Painted my lid NBM...PICS!!!!!!!!!
After repainting this damn thing 3 times I think I've got it to an acceptable level.
I used duplicolor pre-paint wipes, adhesion promoter, primer, 4 coats base NBM (applied custom decal) and then 4 coats of clear. After light rubbing compound and hand glaze, here's what it looks likehard to get NBM in the right lighting to see the metallic, those of you with NBM know how many different colors it can be..) What do you think?
Yes I painted my phone NBM also

came up with the idea for the Z28 logo in there and ran it by Brent at fbodyvinyl.com - I know he is not a sponsor but he is the man. Very cooperative, reasonable and honest. He's made so many decals for me over the years, he's awesome.
Thinking of getting a tiny decal for the phone too

thanks guys - I'm usually rush-job kind of guy so I surprised myself with my patience with this thing. However, I didn't measure when I put the decal on (or use soapy water) so when I gently laid the decal on to see where it was at, it stuck for good. So yes STOLEIT it is off 1/4 inch to the right!!!!!
I decided to go ahead and finish it rather than strip it at that point to see if the finished product was going to be worth it anyway. Now that I know I can do it myself, I will wait unti the weather is warm and do it all over again. It's too cold in the garage, and I got in trouble for setting up a makeshift paintshop in the bathroom!!!!
