Do you guys think that Strobe kits are RICE?
I have a 4 head strobe kit in my garage from my previous ride and am debating whether or not to put it on my Z. It's not the cheap *** ricey **** from the Rice section at AutoZone, its the kind used on pace cars and law enforcement applications. I bought the kit in 2000 from www.strobesnmore.com for about 250 bucks. The kit features multiple flash patterns and has individual controls for Left-Right and Front-Rear. I'm thinking of puting two heads in a set of front clear corners and two heads in the reverse lights. what do you guys think?

if they flash in an alternating pattern(Right to left) its against the law. If both sides flash at the same time its legal as long as they aren't blue or red bulbs. White and amber lights are OK too (in Texas...I'm a Vehicle State Inspector and checked). I'll probably sell them though.. some guy offered me 100 bucks for them.

i've seen them come in handy. 3 35th le's got to lead a couple laps around a race track just because they were the only ones with strobes installed so they acted as the pace cars. i dont know when ull need them but if done correctly and used at the proper times i think it can be tasteful. i have a video of a vette that had them in its engine bay and it was sinked up with the music so whenever bass went off the lights went off. looked really good in person.

Will they be very visible when not in use?
If they don't look too out of place then why the hell not use them?
If you used them in a ricey manner than thats on you, but why not have 'em anyways, you might find some good place to use them.

wouldn't be so bad if you kept them out of sight, and hooked them up as amber hazards. they would certainly be more visually effective than the stock hazard style.
