Whats the best way to remove the dealer label?

with your nail then remove the glue residue with WD-40 and a towel. wash with soap then apply some wax.

I used goo gone and then cleaned with soap and water.

What he said, but if you can't get it with your nail, IF USED CAREFULLY, you can use a razor blade.

Ditto on the heat gun...when you heat it, the glue softens and it's easier to peel off...then just remove any excess glue...

Heat and something like goo gone or WD40. A nail or a razor blade is mess up the clear if not the clear and paint.

Hair dryer. The dealership I bought my 'bird from used the hard plastic dealership tags (with the foam-based adhesive) at the time, and I was able to remove it with a hair dryer nearly five years after buying the car.

Since I have no finger nails I used a butter knife. Not sharp so you don't have to worry about digging into the clear, but you still have to be careful. I would have used a hair dryer but mine came off fairly easily, took about 5-10 minutes.
