Painting LS6 intake??

Default Painting LS6 intake??

any paint??? high temp paint???
will it cause any adverse effects??

no adverse affects that im aware of, my buddy painted his with no problems, and the car went 9's Can't help you with the paint though, he had his professionaly done with automotive paint.

I used the same paint I used on my calipers. Worked great. I'd throw some tape over the sensor/line fittings just be on the safe side but there should be no adverse effects at all. Shoot it with some clear, too. The paint will really pop then.

I painted mine with just normal automotive paint...I covered all the holes and made sure nothing actually got in the intake itself...I made like 3 coats of black spray paint, and then used like 4 coats of gloss. Turned out perfect and nothing effected the car except for looks.

ya let me get some pictures...I had corvette fuel rail covers and the painted ls6 intake, polished ac i thought it looked pretty sweet ...i'll be back with a link to the picture

Regular BC/CC automotive paint is the best way to go. You get a full gloss and temps in the engine compartment aren't high enough to cause any problem.

thanks, appreciate the comment... when I painted it I took the intake off and while I was painting it started to rain outside so I had to finish painting it inside my parents house...they were really pissed off!! But what is a 17 year old supposed do in that position

I painted mine. I just used duplicolor high temp paint. Sanded it, then primered it, painted it and then cleared the hell out of it! I also did the fuel rails.
