Aluminum gauge face for 98 TA
Does anyone make one? I saw one at a show over the weekend, one of the members here had it on his car. I want to get a silver/aluminum gauge face to compliment my red/silver/gunmetal theme I've got going on.

Personally? I like the Vette Style, the bluish with almost that checkerd flag look...i wish someone could come up with that...i posted a thread about it, but know one has responded to it. I have an LT1 so our gauge cluster is different to you LS1 guys. Personally though, i like the silver faced.

I wish there was some way to darken the contrast of the numbers though. Normally one goes to light backgrounds on the guage face to increase the contrast, but with those, it drops, dramatically from the looks of the pics.
I love the look, but not sure I could live with the lost contrast.

I got the silver ones from MacQuewen (sp) Didn't need to remove the needles. Took me about 45 minutes or so. The hardest part was reinstalling the cluster. I couldn't get it in when it was all snapped together. I took it back apart and installed the gauge part and then snapped the bezel over it. I also went with the T/A bezel.

I think the the lighting is the same. The overlays fit very well, they don't look any different from before at night. They definetly look better than before in the day time. I have a daytime picture, but none at night. I can get a night time shot, but I bet it won't look any different than without the overlays.
