Default Beutifying the Pewter....

My car is completely stock in looks. 99 Pewter Z28. I think i've decided on the whisper headlight mod, clear corners and painting the taillgihts with some special paint that make them appear blacked out (not sure what this is). And if only I could get my hands on an SS hood . I have the stock 99 crome wheels and thos are fine for me considering I dont have the money to buy new ones. after the hood I need to get pinstripes, and am definetly gonna tint the hell out of it. Anyone have any ideas to make my car badass

What's the point of tinting the tailights? Doesn't that kinda contradict the clean look in the front?

IMO don't do pinstripping either. Just make sure you get a grill though for that color.

definatly get a SLP bowtie grill you wont be disapointed, also black halos look awsome on pewter camaros, but since u want to do the whisper mod nevermind. get and exhaust system for that beast, headers, and true duals. or you could always go for the H/C package, or new gears. there is so much to do as long as u have the cash.

And the cash thing is the biggest problem for me. I really like the halo lights but the whisper mod is just more of a bargain lol.

a new grille or eleminating the stock plastic grille will do wonders for the car as well and its a cheap mod.

My pewter car with no grille and the grille area painted black..

- BILLET grill (paint black behind it)
- Black Halo Headlights!
- Yes, darken the rear lights
- SS spoiler would liven up the back
- GET REAR INSERTS!! Either black or chrome
- I would like a SS hood to....it's the only thing my car is missing.
- Don't get clear corners. Looks better in yellow.

When I bought my car it had black inserts.
IT's got the RKsport 3in spoiler addition thing which I'm not too fond of but it's been painted so ill keep it.
I wish I could get an SS hood but I cant find a way to get one pweter for cheap
I'm not too sure what to do with the red break lights on the side, I may tint them black because I've seen them clear on a car and I didn;t like it too much. I could just leave them red??
I oredered a set of dragonz28's emblems and i cant wait to get them.

Check thru a junkyard for a rear damaged SS, or find a member off here thats willing to part w/ a pewter hood. The classifieds off here are your friend, and who knows maybe contacting a sponser like VFN, Suncoast or ASCD could benefit (might get free shipping or something out of the deal, I dunno).

I wouldnt do the billet grille unless its painted black. The billet and pewter clash too much (for my tastes), unless you've got chrome or polished wheels, then it'll fit in w/ your scheme. Do the whistler headlight mod, black SLP grille (paint the red bowtie pewter) and for the taillights, a can of VHT Nightshade should work ('bout 9 bucks) and you'll be set.

I do have factory chrome wheels, that's why I was going to go with the chrome or stainloess billet.
