I remember seeing this in a thread not too long ago, I think it's possible (well anything's possible with enough money ). Actually I'm pretty sure I saw someone that did it. Do a search and you might find something in the thread about the photoshopped pictures of the idea. Kinda cool but alot of work for minimal gain if you already have t-tops.

I will have pics as soon as my Compressor is fixed, and I can shoot paint...It's called a Targa Top, yes it's possible, and before anyone talks about how my car is weaker now, well I have a 6pt cage, and DD SFC's

ITs been down on a non-caged car, and I have seen it in person. Looks great but storage for the roof is a little wierd(doesn't have a spot in the car for it) and well the gains aren't tooo great.

He did have subrframes, and no major structural problems from what I understood. Which is feasible, since convertables don't have problems.

The hardest part is he had to fabricate his own room from scratch. I did a search for you on Cz28.com but coulnd't find any pics that weren't down.

I was thinking, maybe to weld the hardtop ontop of the t-tops, it would make for easy removable panel..

Thinking yes, but that's just it...You weren't thinking that the hardtop panel on top of the T-tops wouldn't follow the body line, it would make it about a 1/4" taller than the top of the windshield, and the front fo the B-Pillar....

They just replaced my whole compressor, and the unit will be here tomorrow, so I will put some long days in this week working on the car, after I get off a 12hr day @ work, and try to get some pics up for you guys....Have a lil more fabing left to do, then paint...

The "how-to" would be a tad bit too involved for the average person.

I'm tryin I'm putting in 12 hour work days, coming home to do thing around the house gettin things ready to move for school, finish up other projects on the interior, and not to mention the compressor replacement didn't show up today, so I'm basically at the mercy of that until it does...I'm trying!!!

Wouldn't want to use just JB WELD, you would wanna use an AutoBody Epoxy IF you were to ever glue a body panel on somewhere...
