Default Power Antenna

I hate the way the car looks when the antenna is up, just wondering if it will hurt anything to just unplug the motor? Thanks. (I listen to CDs and no radio)

There is a mod where you can wire in a switch to operate the antenna, ...
Try a 'search', see if you can find anything.
I know I've seen it on here in LS1Tech somewhere before, ...

there is 1 wire that goes from the antenna to the back of the radio, put a switch in that and you'll be able to run the antenna up and down anytime you want (while the radio is on).

it's the signal wire that les the antenna know when the radio is on.

The only time my power antenna would go down would be when the whole radio/cd player was off. Even when I was listening to CDs the atenna would come up. I unplugged it and so far so good. I really like it not being up, it's a subtle thing that probably I will only notice.

The wire you are looking for is a pink wire on the radio harness. Snip the wire and splice a simple SPST switch and you can control the antenna at your leisure. The antenna requires constant voltage from the radio to remain in the up position. With the switch installed, you open the circuit and the antenna lowers even with the radio still on.
