Default VFN Fiberglass kicks a**!!!

Just received my 4 inch cowl hood from them, it is awesome. The quality is top notch, fit is even better. Had to drill a couple holes to mount it, but total time including aligning it was probably a half hour. The best part about it is that it keeps the factory vents of the 93-97 Camaro hoods, which everybody else leaves out, making a boring flat hood with a boxy looking 4 inch rise. The VFN hood looks like it belongs there. Check them out using the link on the right.

I'll work on that for ya. Let me tell you man, this hood is absolutely badass. Their website does not do it justice. I would very highly recommend it.

Was your hood wavey?

I ordered a 3" SS hood from them, and when I got it, even with no paint or anything on it you could see wave ripples in the hood, costed me about 400 bucks for my body guy to body work it to where it would look smooth, he said it was just poor mold quality.

Has a slight wave up at the passenger headlight, but I have weight on it now to bend it back down. Nothing major at all.

Here's some pictures of VFN's 4" cowl on my '94 Camaro. Check out RedLS1.com for more pictures. The customer service was great but best of all the hood quality was excelent. My body guy told me he had to do very little work to get it painted and that with fiberglass hoods you normally have quite a bit to do.

Looks like mine does the same as yours, has a very slight wave up on one side. Yours is on the drivers, mine is on the passenger. But that is so easily fixed. Looks awesome man!!

It acutally doesn't wave at all. My car was in an accident before I bought it and the frame wasn't straight right there when I took the picture. After fixing the frame we put the hood back on and it fit like a glove.
