Arrow Slp H O hood hood owners.. please help

So i ordered the hood and th K&N fipk because i tought the nostrils where completely functional. So when i get the hood i see that its really not it seems that the air has to work its way in. Im thinking of cutting and opnening the small holes and the bar in front. Did any of you'll do any mods i need ideas and pics. Thanks

I did it because when i got my hood i was like WTF so i just pulled it out. I used some scissors my mom had in her kitchen. It only took like 10 mins. Then since the area behind that was still primer i just got some painters tape, taped off and sprayed black. It looks sick you can see the intake through the grills if you look hard. Just don't drive your car in the rain. Thats why there is a baffle there.

Yeah, not hard, bust out the dremel and start cutting. I had the hood on my Trans Am, but i had the Fast Toys Ram Air and everything, so I didn't send the air through the hood.

I have the SLP Ultra Z hood and the K&N FIPK, I haven't done the cutting mods on the inside yet, but I plan too.

I have the back cut so you can see straight through the nostrils into the lid. As said above, use a dremel and be done in 10 min. max. And dont drive in heavy rain cause it'll bog the motor really bad! Did it once and I'll never do again. Good Luck

The car bogged REAL bad, then died. Had it put on a flatbed and taken to my shop where it sat for about a week. (didnt have time to mess with it) When to start it up and had absolutely no problems, but it scared me enough to never drive in a heavy downpour.

I noticed that too, but I had already done the FreeRamAir mod before I got the hood, so I'm not worried about it, plus I don't want to worry about the rain getting in.
