Corbeau CR1 Seat..Lets See'em
Any one running these seats
And has anyone ever removed their stock seats off their runners and installed their aftermarket seats..
Im trying to decide between the CR1
or this one which has a deeper "Butt Pocket" and thigh support..but lacks a known name

http://wedgeengineering.net/ might save you some bucksOR..Ive been told it's really easy to use our stock rails..how cool would it be to have electric aftremarket seats....The way its done is to make an adapter bracket out of metal that has holes that match up to the ones for tehstock rails and that match the mountig holes in the seat....like this
heres what our drivers side rails look like
Im thinking Ill save myself 120 bucks and use my stock rails
Divergent Lightning...so you liked them..how well did they wear....how well did they work in supporting your legs duringt hard turning?
96silverram Why so long.....you gonna use'em

Yeah.... Th eprice diffrence betwen the two seats is nominal....The black "Generic" seat is 599 in leathers and with 90 bucks shiping Im looking at ~700bucks...=Ive found teh CR1's everywher at 798 w/ free shipping and even found a place selling CR1's for 699 w/ free shipping...
My biggest concern is workmanship and functionality

I just ordered the A4's in black leather from a non-sponser (great price) they haven't been released yet. I chose them over the CR1's because I have a 6 point roll bar and they are 2 inches narrower than the CR1, which gives me more clearance for the front bar.

stock belt will cut into your next. due to the great location of our belts dropping from the ceiling.. need to run harnesses to be happy without cutting your neck or wearing a collared shirt

I f you buy aftermarket seats, definitely make sure you sit in one before you buy. Also, racing harnesses are usually illegal on the street so make the stockers work by moving the belt retainers to the new seats.

The stock brackets did not work well with my Summit seats.
I haven't seen any DOT approved seat belts in any cataloques. I will probably stick to the stockers with a pad.

Here are some pics of my Recaro SRD seats. There is a company (Schroth)that makes a four or five point harness for seats like these that actually attach to the rear seat belt receivers. I will be adding these in the spring.
