Default Black or silver WS6? Help me decide!

Hey guys. Well here is the situation. I had a 2001 WS6 which was black. I sold it about a year ago and now am back in the market for another WS6. Now I have always loved black on the WS6, I think its the perfect color and I loved my last setup. But keeping it clean, and the swirl marks and all that drove me crazy! I mean I love taking care and cleaning my cars, I did it weekly, but after all the work it still showed swirl marks and seemed to get dirty or dusty within about 5 minutes after washing it lol.

Now here is the situation. I have a chance to buy either another black WS6, or a silver WS6.
I have always loved silver WS6s too, they are my second favorite color WS6 and I think they can be made to look really nice and aggressive like the black WS6 if done right. And it seems that keeping it clean would be a lot easier!

Anyways to get to the point, what do you guys think I should do? Anybody with a black or silver WS6 or F body or anybody with experience, could you please give me your feedback on what I should do? Some pros and cons, or opinions?
Another thing is that my last black WS6 was not a daily driver, but this time around it will be, so I guess I should take that in to consideration. Please help me! I appreciate any help and opinions!

Oh, and feel free to post up pics of your black or silver WS6s!!! Maybe that could help me decide lol! Thanks!

Depends on how well the previous owner took care of the black WS6. If it is swirled up and has a ton of rock chips already, I'd pass on it. Its very frustrating to keep my black Vette spotless, like you said in 5 min its dusty again. I can leave my silver Formula outside for several weeks and it still looks clean. You also can't see rock chips or swirls on the silver car.

I wish my Vette was silver, probably won't buy another black car or truck again.

I think silver is a better color. Silver makes every line, curve stand out better, plus you can do more to it than black.
I used to have a black firebird before i got my white WS6 and im happier now with my white car more then i ever was with a black car.

Everyone is right, silver is awesome. Dust and swirl marks don't show, plus it makes the f-body look classy.

Silver...

I love black cars when they are freshly detailed and everything...but it is almost impossible to keep them clean. The silver WS6's are my favorite. I like metallic colors and it is pretty cool not having to detail your car every few days.

I could just be a little partial tho...

I've thought a lot about silver too, I ended up with black as it's what I always wanted.

I'm really torn between the two...I too have rock chips and swirl marks and really wanted to repaint it but not if i'm just going to be going through the same things over again. They came from the previous owners negligence and I would not be putting the car through that again.

But then again, a re-paint to a good silver metallic would be expensive and extensive, as the outside of the car isn't the only thing that would need to be re-done

You've got the underside of everything, including engine bay, which means EVERYTHING would need to come out...goddammit...

I personally think that nothing looks meaner or more aggressive than a black ws6. After owning two black cars however i can honestly say i will never buy another one. Too much trouble.

Ron your car is the epitome of what my ideal silver TA would be like. However I think it would bother me every day driving it. I'm addicted to my black car, but can still look at and appreciate other silver ones.

I dont think the black is all that hard to keep clean. i use zaino and jsut dust it off every once n a while, or spray it down with z-6, and once or twice a weekshe gets a coat of polish. And you cant beat a shiny black car. May be a little harder to keep clean, but looks very mean and slick when shes done. I vote..... Black (with a zaino kit of course)

silver02ta, that car serisously looks perfect in my opinion.

but i gotta stick up for the black, nothin like a waxed up black SS with chrome zr1s all polished.

but silver does bring out all the black accents on TAs like vents, the ceta panel, and stuff like that.

its a tough call
