Default powdercoating plastic?

Hey guys, I want to powder coat my GTO fuel rail covers, but they're plastic. Can this be done? If not, should I just get them painted? Thanks for the input-Lance.

Since powdercoating consists of putting a piece in an oven, I'm gonna say it probably won't work.

You can try and do them yourself, or take them to a shop and have them professionally sprayed. It probably wouldn't take more than an afternoon to do...

When I worked with my old company we powder coated some pieces of wood for a display. It's expensive but if woods do able, I'd be willing to bet plastic was. But then again...We only powder coated wood never tried plastic. Best thing you could do is call plastic suppliers instead of powder coaters, they would know where you would need to go and about how much.

Keliente Where in Charlotte you at. I live at exit 18 and work up in Huntersville.

When you powdercoat something it has to be baked on so I'm guessing the plastic would melt. I would just get them painted

thanks guys, i knew powder coating included "bakikng" but the only reason i asked was because some guy told me he could do it, and then a big powdercoating company said they wouldn't. Just a little confused. I wanted to get them powder coated just so it would be a one stop ordeal:drop off everything to the same people and have it all back at the same time with the exact same color. Oh well though, i'll start looking for painters. Thanks for the help guys-Lance
