I have a raptor shift light, just trying to get a good idea of where to mount it. Thanx

Don't have any pictures, but mine is mounted on the steering column. I have seen some mounted on the A-pillar as well, or inside of the AC vent.

For those who installed it in the defog vent, what are you using as your switched 12v source and ground? What are you using to secure it in place?

Thanks

The raptor shift lights come with two parts that slide ovr the lights housing. I trimmed the back part of the vent out and slipped one piece on and then stuck it in. On the front I slipped the bigger piece over the lights body and that holds it very securely in place. As far as what I use for the 12V power source. I used whatever it was raptor said to use. If I remember right, mine is ran to the PCM and connects to a power source there.

My Harlan shift light is in the vent...I tapped the TCS switch for switched 12V, I ran a ground wire, and used velcro to hold the light in place...

Same thing here. Even down to the velcro. Works great.
