Overhaulin T.V. show car painting question
How do they get freshly painted cars to look so nice- no orange peel? I love this show and am amazed how quickly they can paint a car a have the paint look so smooth. Do you think they wet sand and polish the cars after they finish painting them?

Launching!
I have seen one of these cars up close. These paint jobs are as close to flawless as possible. To me it just amazing what they do in such a short amount of time. Good body work and a great painter is usually going to get you nice results.

When you take about 10-15 knowledgeable body and paint guys and get them to work on one car and spend about 16 hours a day on it for 7 days you are gonna come out with a great product. Not every shop can afford to pay 15 paint and body guys to work those kind of hours so people tend to assume think body shops are slow because they cant have the same kind of turn around overhaulin does. The paint looks good because the take the extra time to wet sand and polish it like others have mentioned. This is the difference between a factory paint job and a show worthy paint job.

As the others have said, they wet sand. (Besides the tv magic )
Pffft, what do YOU know about painting...I mean seriously.
Ok, that was a joke, and this is what I'm doing to your skills:
