Default Black Chrome Camaro Inserts

I've been looking for inserts for the letters just above the rear bumper on my 2000 SS Camaro. I've found stainless steel and chrome inserts. What I am looking for is black chrome inserts.

If you know where I can get these, please reply with the web address or phone # of the supplier.

Thanks for the help

Why not just buy the chrome and spray paint it gloss black?

That is a valid option. Just wanted the black chrome look, you know, not jet black.

oh, black chrome would be so pimp. Check google to see if they can find you a place that will black chrome things. That would be cool because then you could send them anything. Rims, calipers, inserts, emblems.... etc...

I remember on eBay there was an auction for some place that was willing to black chrome a set of rims, i think they were c6 z06 or something c6.

Why not buy the chrome and if you can do it spray a black kandy over it, or have a body shop...then it would be a tinted black

I had no luck finding something like this. RK sport had them at one time but they were discontinued. Good luck in finding some. If you do, post some pics.

I will post some pics when I finally do whatever it is that I do. I'm going to keep looking for a while longer before I settle for painting a chrome set.

My car is in the body shop right now anyway. I'm the one that had the Horrible day!!!! post.

If your so stuck on having it Black Chrome the real deal then buy a plain set un polished and send it out to be black chromed, or you can by a black candy to go over the emblems to tint the chrome black, which looks exactly the same....but maybe a lil more actual black of a color, vs a gunmetal color....

It isn't that I am so stuck on it, I just want to be different. I haven't seen any so I was hoping to get lucky and find some. If I have to, I will definitely have some done up. Thanks for the info.

I would assume a quick layer of VHT tint would give you the look you want.

If you spray VHT on there it will be a grainy finish and you'll want to clearcoat them so the tint doesn't fade over time with washing. If you want to spend the time wet sanding them and then polishing them, which would prob be a PITA, go for it. I like your idea of black chrome inserts though, they'd really stand out and would look badass.
