Default HID kits any good?

Does anyone have any experience with this HID kit?
http://www.xenon-vision.com/

I'm tempted to get a set of 5000K bulbs. I don't want a riced out blue or purple just pure white like my silverstars. It will not be just an apperance mod for me. I commute to school through a bunch of corn fields and I can't see crap even with my silverstars. I have to constantly be on high beams and most of the time I can't due to oncoming traffic. I drive a bunch of Audis at work and I got spoiled. I read stories about cheap HID kits from ebay not lasting long. So I'm asking here before I buy. I don't know how to tell a quality kit from a cheap one.

Do a projector retrofit on your headlight aor you will be blinding people with the glare that comes out of your stock light housing.

5000K would be a tad above what the OEM specifications are for HIDs.

as for quality, don't pinch pennies. $300 on a kit is usually a quality kit.

I didn't think about the glare. Is there also a projector kit out there I can match up with the HID kit?

There aren't really any quite out there yet. Guy2626c is attempting to make them out of popular Halo headlights and LS1_SS is working on another pair but has a prototype out now. Both are for Camaros; I don't know what you drive.

Ilya from F-Sane has a kit out now. He's out of stock as far as I know, but they should be coming along. He has them for every 4th gen bird/camaro and very reasonably priced. I'm not sure when, but I think he's going to set up a GP closer to the summer. I'll let him see this post.

Kits are nice but I wish there was a kit NOW that included pre-assembled and retrofitted housings making it a simple swap away from having modern headlights.
