Default 4th gen hood in a 4th gen

I didnt know where to post this but here it goes I am picking up a firehawk hood from a distance. My question is can a firebird hood fit in a 99 firebird trunk. Ive done measurements but I was wondering if anyone has done this before and how. I know i will need two people and i will take the ttops off recline the front seats all the way then fold the back seat down on top of that and load from the passenger side. once in I will prop the front seats up and be on my way this is just theoretical though. please tell me if you see any flaws with my reasoning or if you have any prior experiences good or bad thanks

Yea man when i bought my ws6 hood it didnt even fit in the back of my friends blazer. Yea we didnt take the back seat out but it still would have been a very tight fit. Instead we had to rope it to the top of the truck with a blanket around it. You got the remember that the width of the hood is way wider than the insides of the car becuase of the back interior panel on the sides, theses parts are way bigger once you take them off then what they look like on the car. There is no way you would be able to do this i think.

It's strange, my VFN 4" cowl induction hood fit in the back of my '94 but my VFN Sunoco hood wouldn't fit in my '99 Camaro.

That's sorta what I did when I went to get my other SS hood out of my bro's garage for the B4C. I left the stock one at home and drove out there. Granted it was only like 10-15 miles and you're probably driving further, and it needs to be a nice day.

You feel like a total douche with no hood on the car but it would be the easiest way. That is, assuming there will be one or two people there to help you put it on... my gf and I were able to do mine.

Ya when I was going to pick up my OEM SS hood I was gonna take the Z hood off and drive there. However I found out its illigal to drive with no hood on the car in IL. So I borrowed my brothers dodge dakota and the hood didn't really even fit. On side had to be sticking out.

He can't put the Firehawk hood on and leave his there...the OE bumper needs to be trimmed to clear the Firehawk hood since it's longer...
