I know the car is dirty, lay off, I live in Michigan. Detail loving is still about 20 degrees away.
But it's been a busy past couple weeks.
Nightshades + Corsa + Clears:
Clears + Stull with Badge Goodness:
$5 Duplicolor black calipers, rotors, and inside of Z06's:
$20 eBay white gauge overlays (write up here: https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...=white+gauge):
With ledgauges hyperwhites:
Car's pretty much done now for me. Maybe halos, possibly a stall. Gotta get yourself Xmas presents, right? I almost bought this car in 02 but GM's desire to kill them off by offering no financing or rebates at all... made me hold off. 4 years later I got the same car, a little used, but at 70% off. Aight with me.

I did a write up in this forum. I guess search for white and it should come up.
You "should" pull the cluster, but you could do it with the cluster in the dash. It'd just be gd hard that way.
They are vinyl with adhesive. You use soapy water so you can still move them around. I used a flashlight to align them, but you could also concievably do it in the car, though I don't know how well that would work.
Getting them lined up well with the cluster out was a pita. Doing it in car would be a nightmare.
I'm thinking about getting one of the TA bezels. Really cleans them up, makes even cheap overlays like these look finished.
I picked up a used cluster off of ebay to use just in case I fugged it up.

I owned a 89 firebird and a 93 formula before this. I grew up around a couple mid 70's junkers, my old mans midlife crisis 87 TA, and a 89 formy as well.
It really hurt going over to the "Z side", but around me TA's were pricing out like 4g's higher. I'm happy now because it seems like more stuff is available for Z's.
I'm prolly going to end up doing halo's sooner rather than later.

I just cleaned up the insides of the rims with fine steel wool, cleaned with alchohol, and went to painting them with black caliper paint. Had to do about 3 coats because the paint doesn't take very well.
I didn't use spray paint but if you have the patience to mask using it with primer would probably be a lot better.
I know it is probably not going to stick very well, but as far as I'm concerned every little bit helps. Michigan just kills chrome rims. I didn't even drive the car this winter at all and I got pitting just from salt dust blowing into my carport. Totally sucks.
Even if the paint makes the rims live just an extra couple years then I'm happy.
