I have never tried that one before, I use eagle 1, it used to be red, now it is blue, It is the best I have seen in a while, they took the other stuff I used off the market.

You could try Meguiar's NXT soap, Gold Class soap, Mother's California Gold, Zaino Z7, etc.

I loved the turtle wax emerald series car wash. I used to buy it at Sam's Club in gallons but they stopped carrying it Everytime I washed the car it felt like it had just been waxed. Do any of you guys know where I can still get the stuff? I would order it offline if I had to. It's been better than anything I've used.

This doesn't sound like it's coming from the soap...

How do you wash your mitt/towels (whatever you are using)?

I used the same cheap pink Meg's stuff this weekend and had the same problem. It could be from using too much soap (I was pre-wax washing so I just soaped the hell out of everything), but whatever the case I didn't like it.

I was also not keeping up with drying and the car was in the sun, both bad things.

But if you have to wash in that environment I've had best luck with soaps that claim to bead or spot free rinse - like blue coral products.

I'm on my 4th bottle of the Pink Meguiars gel wash you've described. I've never had a problem like this and my car is black so I would notice. Where do you dry your car off? I ask because if you are in the sun, your black paint is hot, and it will dry and haze up quickly. I thought maybe that's what happened from your description?

If you're just spraying down the area, and moving on and not keeping it wet throughout your entire wash (like say you go from front fender to door. But after the door, you dont spray the fender to keep it wet, you just move on) try keeping the car "wet" throughout the process and see if that helps at all.

Ive never heard of this...

Maybe its the MF mit you're using, I dunno. But it sounds like there's either something in your water, or on the mitt more then the soap.
