Default Stainless Air Dam vs. Stock - Questions

Considering replacing the front plastic air dam on my '02 Z with a stainless one. Besides cosmetics, does it improve airflow (less flexing)? Advantages/disadvantages about replacement? Muchas gracias for any comments.

Best of health.

I wouldn't see any advantages to this. As much as a scrape mine, I wouldn't even thing of doing it.

Keep the plastic one in the garage... you will be putting it back on.

They claim it clears a bit and flows a bit better due to its angle, least the one i've seen.

I don't thing it would be a wise upgrade myself.

Thank you folks.

That's enough for me. Have learned to rate the opinions of people here highly.

Appreciate the input.

Bringing back from the dead here. Where can I get a stainless air dam? Looks great in show conditions.

Only one I've ever seen is on Ebay. Maybe good for shows but not on the road.

I have the stainless and love it. I hit less with it and it is easier to keep clean. BTW, there is better clearance with it.

Looks really good! That's what I was reading, the angle wasn't as bad. PM sent to you.

I got it too. Ive never looked back at the plastic one. Its more of a look thing than performance. Got it at e-bay too. In fact my car is the "model" used at the e-bay auction! If youre careful you will not have problems unless youre lowered. I dont see the negative comments for it.

It'd look better if it was just the middle of the air dam
