Default Anyone use Z12?

I ordered Zaino's z12 the other day. I know it says it has mild abrasives, but now I'm kinda hesitant to try it. My glass is in good shape, and I don't want it to become scratched up by z12. I do have some bad *** hardwater spots on the glass, so that's why I bought it.

So if anyone has used Z12, how did they like it?

I use Z-12 once a month. No problem bugs just wipe off, what little rain I have drove in just runs off did not have to use windshild wipers. I use all Zaino products. I clay my glass first and evey 3 months depends on how much I drive. Then I buff 2-3 coats Z-12 with my porter cable or by hand. When Z-12 glazes over I buff out by hand with a towell. If I have to wash my car Z-7 dry with a Ca jellyblade & absorber on glass. If I do my glass only I use plain windex no drip with paper towells. The clay bar will take water spots out.

I don't really want to use a claybar everytime I wash my car. After every wash, I quickly dry the windows but it seems everytime a little more waterspots appear. I've tried Invisible Glass, Windex, but nothing seems to get rid of the spots.

Z-12 won't scratch your glass. Use a clean soft cotton or microfiber towel to apply it, and it should work great. It leaves the glass feeling like new. It won't take out the really deep pits, but it does smooth out minor imperfections and light scratches. Polishes glass nicely.

Once you have found the best products, there's no reason to keep searching for better ones!!!

can anybody comment on z12's ability to remove hard water spots that are baked on the glass? I guess that was the original question, but I don't see where anyone specifically answered it.

thanks, this is a VERY frustrating problem.

Z-12 will work for hard water spots on glass. Other methods include 0000 steel wool, vinegar/water mix, "Barkeepers Friend" and claybar.

I have tried them all and Z-12 works for me. If the water spots are "etched" into the glass, (if you can feel them with a fingernail) it takes a lot of work and polishing to get them out. There's really no easy fix for that, other than a lot of elbow-grease.....

P.S. VERY DEEP etchings, you just can't get out.....

I got the bottle of z12 today, and it says it won't scratch glass. It will be a nice weekend to detail the car.

JB - please give some more details about how your windows looked at first, how you used the Z12, how much effort required, and the results. I'm tired of things that don't remove the baked in spots and stains. If Z12 is the answer I will love it.

Well, my windows are scratch free, just had some hard water spots that I couldn't remove with windex, Invisiable Glass, ect. You could see the water spots on the t-tops very easily, and when driving in the sun you could hardly see out the windshield.

It was really easy to use, I just put it on a cotton towel and used a circular motion on the glass. I could feel the grit from the spots, but then get smooth. After it dried, I wiped it off with another towel and that was it.

what would be the harm to use it on the outside of tinted windows (where the bad spots would be)?
