Spuds needs help with painting question
Should I wet sand inbetween base and clear?
I am using duplicolor engine high temp paint, gloss black. I was wondering if I should wet sand before I clear it? How long should I have the peice in direct sunlight before I clear? The paint has a slight texture to it that I wanna get rid of, I never noticed it before.
Thanks.

Im still at a loss for what to do with my center caps...
Sand them and paint them black
Sand them and paint them with some chrome paint to match lugs, never used chrome paint b4
Sand them and paint them white?

I would stay away from the chrome spray paint, at least my opinion. This is just an idea, what if you paint your center-caps white, along with the dish/lip of your rim (everything on the face besides the spokes). Just an idea though, dunno how it would turn out.

Be careful with your dry times between paint coats . . . Some rattle can spray paints have very "strict" directions on how long between coats . . . I've learned the hard way.
If you miss the "window" and paint too late or too soon, the new coats will wrinkle your original coats. FYI.
