Default Another one about molding- HUGE PICS

Should I or Should I not remove my side molding?? I just want opions, Im sure most of you will clearly say yes and that I wont regret it but once I start, there is no return. Plus I kinda like the molding still on... anyways- you tell me! Oh and this is my first time ever posting pic's, so lets hope this works, dont worry, the next step will be finding out how to resize them.

SIDE NOTE- these are pictures from three months ago without clear corners, Last of the breed, and Blackbird Stripes.

Get rid of them. You'll feel better about it after you see it on your own car.

I would not remove the side molding on a T/A. IMO, it actually helps with the body lines. They look like they belong. On a Camaro, however, I would ditch them in a second because they do nothing but look funny.

I think Firebirds look better without the molding, but don't do it if you still park in places where door dings can happen.

Your paint should be okay unless the car lived outside its whole life. Black doesn't fade too easily, but red does.

Most paint fade is due to the clear no longer being perfectly smooth. If there is a noticable color change where the molding use to be just get the car buffed. A difference in color means the car needs it anyway.

It will be a pain, but they are just held on with double sided tape. So yes, you can. But, if it does not match, do your car a favor and get it buffed.

If you don't like it you can always get new ones, they come already color matched from GM.

I removed the molding on my 1996 Pontiac Formula last week. Best thing I ever did. No fading lines either.
