Default Need help removing an emblem

I helped a friend put a real nice "Z-61" emblem on his new C6 Corvette. I then realized that I was going off of the C5 style Z-06 locations for the emblem. The C6 style Z-06 emblems are a little lower. I need to remove the emblems and lower them. Can someone tell me how to remove these. The emblem is a nice stainless piece with double sided tape to hold. I don't wan't to bend the emblem nore do I want to scratch the car. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks..

floss or fishing line. use it in a saw motion to remove the emblem

if the 3mtape is not warm its harder, so set the car in the sun or use a hairdryer

I've pulled many dealeship emblems off using a hair dryer. It works great. I refuse to advertise for them.

That is the first thing I do after bringing a new car home. As mentioned above, i'd let it warm up in the sun, and not get too close for too long with the hair dryer.

You will get them off, but I doubt you will get them relocated and have them stay put, unless you have a plan with some more double sided tape.

Goo gone helps taking the sticky stuff off. Try waxing it a little bit afterwards as well.

If you wax the area, be sure to remove the wax before applying the new emblem. Just wash the area pretty tough with some dish washing liquid and the wax will come right off. Then clean the area with some Isopropyl alcohol and stick the emblem on with some 3M emblem adhesive double sided tape.
