I painted mine red. Just clean them up real good with some dish soap and get some plastic paint (I used rust oleum plastic paint but krylon will probably work good too).

But I agree if you are going with silver get some stainless ones from DragonZ28 / Muffinbuster.

no i want it to match my blackbird stripes/ceta that i am painting on in quicksilver so thats why im going with silver. So ill just need an adhesive primator and put it on before the autopaint right?

If you get a plastic paint you don't need adhesion promoter. Just get some sort of plastic paint. Clean it up and spray it. I also recommend clearcoat to keep it from fading.

Then I guess try an adhesion promoter. But once again. I highly recommend a clear coat. without it the color will fade in the sun after a while.

Mine looked good and then started chipping and stuff. Not hard to just do it again if that happens. I think the mirrored and stainless inserts for those should look a lot better for the price. And there is such a thing as mirror-overkill.

Looks good to me. I like the red.

I did mine in chrome. I used a primer first and then chrome came out great. Some think there steal.

Mine are all done in whit but I need to have them re-done. They are all chipped up, and I think they might have been sprayed while on the car too, not sure though.

painted my sides & nose grills chrome. Get lots of compliments on them. Was easy & only took a afternoon at home while bored. Total cost maybe $6
