Default Summit vs Corbeau seats

I recently found this type of seat from Summit:

For ~200 bucks a seat, seems pretty good.

I'm wondering who here has tried sitting in both these seats and the Corbeau CR1 seats? Which ones were more comfortable. Comfort is more important than weight for me. Any other impressions from anyone? I have done a search on these seats and seems like a handful of you have them and like them, others say they are cheap. Has anyone done a comparison? I won't spend 400 more on a pair of seats if I don't have to.

I need a seat that's going to hold me in. The stock ones aren't doing well lately for me. I can't get a stable hold of my steering wheel anymore around corners.

i dont know about those summit ones they look pretty cheap.....i would try and save up and get the Corbeau CR1 seats. it just seems like more bang for your buck!

but then again the summit ones might be more comfortable.

Is this what you're sitting in bro? And do you still have the power controls working?

Hey Nightwind..no no yet but most likely will..

Its easy to mount any seat to the stock powered rails you just need to build a mounting bracket...Un bolt teh stock seats from the power raisl then mount the new seats...

Ive been trying to decide on which seats..Im leaning toward Arizen because they can match my stock interior (neutral)...for around 700 bucks last time i looked

Arizen seat

I was waiting for someone to say that lol. I've always had a normal looking camaro. No one ever busts on it or makes fun of it. I need something that people will make fun of

Look at the quality of the seat. It's garbage. No offense if you bought them, but the material looks like it's about 20 years old and wrinkly.

Are those Arizens all manual?

How much lighter are they than the TA lumbar seats?

I'm looking to save some weight and I never even touch the power controls so I figure I don't need them. I also need something that matches the interior like that and is comfortable to drive as this is a street car and not a race car.

And can you get them with the stock seat-belt setup? Don't want to run race belts.

Check out their web site... cant post a link here..

Demondbird actually had a chance to sit in them just the other weekend...said they felt very god and looked good in person as well
they do custom work as well so they cost a bit more...

~ 600 a set

Man I feel so special with my name mentioned so much

First of all, YES, SUMMIT SEATS SUCK ***!!!! Just imagine sitting in a cheap baseball glove made out of rubber and you'll get the idea...

Next, oh my God YES, THE ARIZEN (style, same seat manufacturer with different distributors) SEATS ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!

I finally got to see/feel/touch/sit-in a seat in person and they were SPECTACULAR

The best deal on that style that I have found is here:

Nice Seats

Only thing they don't have that the Arizens do is an adjustable lumbar BUT I've heard the Arizen lumbar SUCKS (it's just metal coiling up)...

And since leather Arizens are $700 + shipping and the seats above are under $500 SHIPPED FOR THE PAIR, you're better off getting the ones from Mad Racing and paying a shop to add a little foam for a REAL lumbar support if you want...

Same seats, here's a pic:

Now that I have finally gotten to get my hands on a pair in person I am ordering them after my hood is painted...

I saw that, just asking to make sure. 400/pair for real leather racing seats is a damn good price, and IMO they look better than some of the name brand racing seats.

Yeah, I talked to the guy before as well just to make sure...

The price is pretty incredible and after feeling how soft the leather was in person last week I am completely sold !

I had Corbeau A4's, and loved them. In the even that my leather stockers get messed up, i will buy a seat of Leather CR1's. THe a4''s were great, but im a 32 waist. Anyone bigger than that HATED the seats, they are a tight fit.
