Default Best way to paint calipers?

Are there any caliper painting kits I can buy? Should I get it professionally done (so it won't ever come off), or can I buy calipers that are already painted?

Check Auto Zone, and such, even Wallmart. they sell a "kit" that comes with a bruch, and lil mini tub of paint, I used it, and has worked perfect, plus you dont have to mask off parts of the car.

Eastwood (sponsor) also makes a kit, one for rotars and one for calipers- not sure about the price though.

I used another kit that is also available at most auto part stores. It comes with a brush, masking tape, can of paint and brake cleaner. It has everything you need to paint more than one cars worth of calipers. It goes on thick and covers in a couple coats.

I bought the kit from autozone as well.
Just make sure you spend a lot of time prepping:

I did mine with VHT HIGH TEMP CALIPER PAINT...took awhile[3-4 hrs]..still looks okay after 2 years...I have touched them up once with a brush......it is easier to do with a brush..if i had known this, i wouldn't have sprayed, because 3/4 of my time was covering and taping. [done on car]

So which method is preferred? The "kit" that is mentioned above?

I used the kit from Advanced Auto as well. I have done my SS, my wifes Tiburon, 03 Mach 1 and 04 Cobra. All have held up well. All were painted on the car and all are DD except the SS.

it usually takes me about 30-45 minutes flat and most of that time is waiting for the paint to dry to put on the decals, but all i do is spray it with brake cleaner, wash it with soap/water, dry, grab a plastic bag from target or grogery store, you mask off everything if you want but its a waste of time, these things dont spray all over the place. its a very direct spray. after you mask off whatever you want then spray 3-4 coats of paint. wait about a 1/2 hour for it to dry, then add the decals and spray 3-4 coats of clear. I used the hi-temp paint and clear from autozone, works great every time.

The Eastwood kit is $39.99. It's available in several different colors too...I remember seeing red, black, silver, gold & blue. I just ordered the black kit for my 'bird.
