Cost of Paint Job??? Hey guys currently my SS is black and I'm looking to get it painted Sunset Orange Metallic 
Can anyone give me an estimate on how much this may cost??? (With the cost of the paint and the cost of having the actual car painted). Also, I'm in the Chicagoland area, anyone know any good places to get this done (within about 2-3 hours of Chicago). Thanks.

i would estimate a same color paint job still to be upwards of 3k, if you're looking for a quality job.
personally i would never do a color change unless i was gonna do a body off...engine and interior out...big time bank spending money on car job haha...and i'm like you a broke *** college student...so i'd just stay with black lol

I had my color change done for about $1700, with door jams, under hood and under hatch. They also did some minor body repair too-crack on spoiler and removed about 4 dents on hood. Granted, it's not a paint job that would win the best paint category at a car show with 20 coats of clear, but it's good enough for me and looks better than the faded oem paint job.
