Black Rotors?
My car is in the shop still from my accident, but when it comes out I already have some SOM paint and some decals for my calipers. I was thinking about getting some new slotted / drilled rotors and painting the hub black and then came across these:

Never saw these before and behind my Chome 10's (soon to be widened/narrowed ) on an SOM (got a black theme with the rear fills and possibly a manta stripe - still debating) would look pretty sick?
What do you think? I would photochop it but have no skills....sorry

the only part that is goin to stay black is the center hub. the black plating is goin to wear off very quickly. do urself a favor and just get some brembo blanks and paint the hub with black paint

Yeah that is just a coating. When I bought my KVR Cross drilled rotors I had them coated Silver. The coating wore off where the pads contact the rotor. But it is good to prevent rusting on the rest of the rotor. If you get the black you will still see silver where the pads contact the rotor and black for the rest of it. It's up to you and what look you are going for.
On my Trans Am, I just bought replacement rotors, taped off the rotor surfaces and painted the hub portion black to keep it from rusting. That is another option and it looks nice. Good luck.

a website I ran across on the subject. http://www.blackdiamondperformance.com/ I don't know how they're made, so I can't comment on how long they would stay black. But I'm sure they would answer any emails. This company has a very good reputation in the uk for what it's worth.

Thanks for the comments. I didn't think about the color coming off.
Richieg I will contact them to see what they say about the color issue, thanx.
If it doesn't come off, than I think these would look good and make the SOM calipers stand out better, I'm just worried that if I go with the standard silver rotors and the chrome 10 spokes would hide the painted calipers, I'm looking to be different and showy. (I've only seen one other car with orange calipers and it wasn't the greatest match in color, I got a buddy to mix me some SOM and it matches perfectly!)
Thanx again, and keep others comments comming...
