Tinting winshield?/Where to put reg. & inspection stickers?
So I've been thinking of getting my winshield tinted when I get the rest done.
I'll go 20% on the sides & rear and the lightest (35%?) on the windshield.
I think it will even out the look well and also help with preventing any interior fade.
Those of you who have done it, what % level did you go with?
How is it at night, in the cold, etc. ?
Where did you put your inspection and registration stickers?
(I would say they shouldn't go directly on the tint for when it comes time to replace them)
Any other feedback?

are you talking about tiniting the whole w/s??If so I have mine done I do it on every car i have.I do a 5% strip at the top then a 35% tint on the rest of the windshield. At night headlights look kind of dim but in the summer time my dash does not even get hot.You really need the w/s out of the car to do this right..

I tinted my trucks with 35 on the windshield. On back roads with little to no outside lighting, it does hamper distance vision. I would not suggest 35 on the front if you enjoy driving fairly over the speed limit at night. As far as stickers on my trucks. I never put them on. Oddly enough, in Texas where state troopers normally, are all over tint and expired stickers, I've never been pulled over for it either. On my firebird, I actually have a new windshield sitting in my house I just got done tinting with 50% and 2.5% across the top. I plan on putting stickers on this one. I plan on cutting out the tint where the stickers will go. The trick is to make perfect cuts against the edges of the stickers. I've seen where stickers were put right over the tint, and it sticks out like a sore thumb, drawing much attention to the fact the windshield is tinted. When the cuts are perfect to the edged, the tint goes un-noticed. Lucky for me, I have the windshield out. It would be very hard to tint the glass in the car. And damn near impoosible to make perfect cuts with the glass in the car. Oh well. . just my thoughts on the subject.

I suppose since you're already breaking the law by tinting a windshield in the first place, you shouldn't have any qualms about not displaying inspection stickers either.

I will get a few pics on mine asap. Never had any trouble with the local cops I just roll my windows down when they come up to the car..As a matter of fact I have a spare titnted w/s here that is already tinted 5% strip at the top and 35% on the rest if anybody interested. Might be a mother to ship though..I have always done this and no trouble..Looks bad *** when you look at the car too..

i forgot what tint level my trans am is at 35 or 20, . . i wanna say 35 though, . pics can be seen if you search my screen name and look for the thread "my trans am won first place at local car show!" for the city stickers i bought those sticker peel away thingees, i dunno if they sell it outside of chicago but you place your sticker on this clear film, cut it out and place it on the inside of your windshield, i showed my friends so i took it off with no problem and put it on cuz they were complainin about takin that crap off, . . i think its called the wind SHIELD or sticker shield . . . i forgot, with out that your otta luck unless you unpeel the sticker apply clear tape to the sticky side so its still visible and tape it on the whinshield . . .

It can be done w/ the w/shield in the car pretty easy... 35% is what the guys I know that tint use for the w/shield.
Here are some various pics of tinted w/shields...

For the stickers, get some of that static cling stuff. Stick the sticker to the cling, then put it on the windshield. It's just like that stuff they use for holiday decorations in windows at stores. I believe Michaels or Jo-Anne Fabrics sells sheets of it in clear.
