Help Fast....NEONS!
I've had my car for about 3 weeks now...there was a switch beside the TCS switch...I knew it was definately aftermarket, but thought it was for subs, since there was wires ran back for subs. Well tonight I figured out otherwise...walked out of local gas shop and was like wtf my car looks like it has a red underglow. Sure enough it clicked I said o **** thats what that switch is for. I do not want this on my car. I plan on tearing it off tomorrow, my question or concern is, whats the best way to go about it? I cant find crap on installation, or taking it off. If i could look at all hte installations then I could just go from there. I cant find anything about it! Either point me in the right direction or tell me some key things (besides disconnecting the battery ect ect ect)

If you dont want to keep the lights or resell them to a ricer punk in a civic with 1000hp in stickers. Dike off the wires to each light and then follow them back to their power source, or cap them and use the wires later for an elec cutout. There are several options. All are pretty easy. Hope this helped a little.

Follow the switch wires to the grounded transformer somewhere on the chassis. The transformer then goes in a loop through all the bulbs. Disconnect the power before you start playing because its high voltage

yeah, like kraaazymike said, follow the wire back to where it's getting power from and disconnect it first. Then just put out all the wires and lights connected to it. But first you should get a pic with them on, I want to see what it looks like at night.

FIRST thing you need to do is find the previous owner or whoever put them on and punch them in the throat. THEN disconnect them. Im with Beasst8 though, if you plan on running a cutout in the future just cap the wires until then.

yeah use to have them got old real fast and dont really look good on our cars IMO, real easy to do undrill the platic clips that hold the bulbs up, trace the wires to the engine by where the transformer prolly is located, unscrew the red line that goes to the switch which in turn to the batter it has a fuse inside of the wire part. Disconnect all the wires they are just twisted together and covered with clear pipe and then covered with electrical tape pull apart take out from under car and no more NEONS.
