Rough Chop w/ Ideas... Thoughts?
Its a crappy chop job of a previous chop job that someone else did on the wheels and I did it in Gimp because I dont have Photoshop. Its just to give you an idea. Whats been done in the chop...
- Blacked out lower grill area (would actually have lower grill insert in black mesh as well)
- Shaved front side markers (only serve as a marker, they'd be shaved and completely gotten rid of)
- Blacked out "kidney" grills (would be inset body color with black mesh for the actual grills just like the lower grill and like the hood scoops would have)
- CCW SP500s, considering either them or 505As in 19s and need to decide between fully polished or polished lips with either anthracite or black centers
A car with black iForged Aeros in black finished centers very similar to the CCW SP500s I'm considering and another chop of the 505As on the GTO...
Thoughts on if this looks good or not and if the black, anthracite, or polished wheels would be a better choice?
Basically this would kind of be turning the GTO into a more mature version of what my Trans Am looked like. Am I trying to make a "blah and bland" car aggressive and its just the wrong way to go? Maybe just go polished kidney and lower grills and hood scoop inserts, leave all the lines on the front bumper the same, and just get polished wheels instead?
For comparison's sake this doesn't show the polished hood scoop inserts but it does show the kidney and lower grill inserts... very CTS/STS-Vish to me...
And in the short term this is kind of my plan for the car. Black out the side markers, maybe do the all black grilles, tint, and go polished wheels. Just dont know about the blacked out lower bumper in these shots. I think thats the idea for now but I'm still on the fence and wanting input from everybody. Thanks in advance.

I like the 500's but whatever you get make them polished all the way , nothing else IMO. And I like the black grilles also. the shaved signals looks pretty good too. Either way its gonna be HOTT

I see BMW in the kidney grills, undertones of the WS6 in the hood scoops, and I think the headlights look awesome and aggressive. The Holden front end is nice but its expensive and with a little work on the stock front bumper it can look just as nice IMO.

Mcheap, thanks for the chops. Very glad I got to see the bling grills because I prefer the black for sure now over those. In theory they look good and I think on a bright color like Impulse Blue they look awesome but not so much on the darker Spice Red. Those SP500s are looking SICK on there too. I was almost dead set on 505As but everytime I see SP500s on these cars it sways me back towards them. Thanks a ton for the chops man.
