Default Like this Hood?

My hood on my SS is starting to crack and im looking for a new hood, but want something a little more aggressive looking and different. I was gonna go with the 3" SS hood, but i dont think it is that nice on the car actually, so i was browsing and i found this hood..what do you guys think? i would paint it like a manta stripe in silver..

I Love that hood. My car is in the top two pics. The one thing about the hood is it is very light. When I say light try about 12 LBS total. I would reccomend hood pins as without them my hood was trying to flap in the wind, if you get my drift. LOL.

I don't like it. The whole reason that SLP redesigned the SS hood from 98 up was to match the curves of the newly rounded corners of the front of the car. That hood is more square and just doesn't look good. If your changing hoods go with the 3 " SS or a Sunoco. And, FWIW, the second picture you have shown is an LT1 hood.

leave the scoop c/f and do the trim on the sides of the scoop in silver, paint the normal part of the hood black. perfect way to do carbon fiber.

i own a VFN 3" SS hood, but i think the ZL1 hood looks good to, not the SCC SS, just the ZL1 concept!

For a real SS, keep the SS hood.

Glasstek makes one just like that, the LT1 style scoop on an LS1 hood. They're ~$400 or so, and they are local also, so you'd save a bunch on shipping as well.
