Default t-top noise

i've had my 2001 z28 for 3 weeks now and there is an annoying noise coming from the passenger side t-top. i thought it was the forward pin rubbing on the plastic a-pillar. so i pulled the a-pillar and screwed it back so it was correctly centered on the pin bracket.

no joy in elimanating the squeek!!

suggestions on what to try next??

thanks!
tony

maybe cleaning the t-tops and the weather striping would help

i have the same problem.. everytime I turn or go over any bump with just one side of my car, like a speed bump or something. Its makes a crackle noise. Mine soounds like it coming from inside the t-top itself thought

I have the same problem. If you squeeze near the keyhole it "crackles" the worst. I took it apart but could not figure out where it was coming from. I hope someone finds an answer to this annoying problem.

It's the frame of the car moving around the t-top that is causing the bad noise. Next time you go over a speed bump or dip or whatever put your finger in the gap between the t-top and the a-pillar. You should feel the t-top move.

Mine used to make noise. When I put the UMI 3-point bolt-in sub-frames, they don't make noise anymore because the frame is a lot stiffer now.
