Default chrome polish

Is it possible to bring back some chrome wheels when they get that discoloration in the cracks and places that get skipped when polishing the wheels? I just bought a set from someone and they have that brown discolored places on them in the corners and ridges on the 5 star factory chrome wheels. What is good to use?

Sounds like they're just dirty. Clean em with some Eagle One All Wheel Cleaner good then hit them with a powerball and Mothers Chrome Polish. I never thought that a polish would do that much for chrome wheels till I used the Mothers stuff! It helps keep them shiner longer as brake dust doesn't stick to them as easily.

Magic erasers are somewhat abrasive, won't that scratch your rims up?

No they won't. They have some of the magic erasers specifically meant for wheels. Used them on an old set of truck wheels and they looked amazing after 3 years of sitting outside with rust build up

I used to have that problem with my stock 5-spoke 16" chrome wheels after the winters. What worked best for me was to wash thoroughly, then hit them with a clay bar. It works well because it can be rolled or shaped to get in the corners & crevices. Then polish with some good chrome/metal polish.

The clay bar sounds like a good idea. What polish do you all use for chrome the most?
