Floor lighting
Has anyone put cold cathodes or neon or leds under their dash to light the floor? Kinda a ricer thing, but I have a differnt plan, passenger opens door, light comes on, driver opens door, light comes on. Good idea eh? but what about that dam dinging noise? Leave it hooked up to the driver door and if a door is open there is a fat light on, kinda hard to miss. Also I have a red Camaro, what color could I put that would look nice?
Red is too harsh on the eyes at night.

I have thought about doing that. I am going to have a friend of mine switch my whole inside to leds. I just like to be able to see every thing in my car when I open the door at night.

i actually like the look of the lighting on the floor. it's not much different from all the people that put the red/blue etc leds in their map and dome lights... or even changing the gauge cluster lights over.

I put red in my black car. It matches the guages and everything. I put lights under both sides of the dash, both front seats, and in the speaker covers. I wired the switch in the ash tray so you never know its there in the day!

Thats what I used. I wired them with a separate switch so I can control them better.
