A PC is a wise investment for amateur detailers who want to keep their cars as swirl-free as humanly possible!
The next best investment is knowledge and education: are you aware of how you're incurring the swirls? Truth is, while swirls are hardly 100% avoidable, you yourself are likely to be the culprit for your clearcoat imperfections. Be careful of what you choose to wipe your car down with, and how you choose to do it! It's my hope that LS1Wiki will one day be able to answer your question to great detail, without waiting for forum responses
Hopefully, the detailers in this section will help build the LS1Wiki on detailing!
In the mean time... do pick up a PC (7336 or 7424, they are the same). Also, pick up a polish designed to work with dual-action polishers (which is what those buffers are). If you have a car store nearby, you should be able to find Meguiar's #50 and #53. While you're there, see if you can get a velcro backing plate for your buffer so that you can use velcro-backed pads. Those supplies will be your bread-and-butter for fixing most moderate swirl cases. Good luck!

You need to check the Porter Cable kits we have at Tropi-Care. www.tropi-care.com it will be the best investment you ever made.
Use the PC with an orange foam pad and our TC-8 Swirl Cutter and you will be amazed at the results.
