Default tie down rings on the rear deck.....

I recently converted to an 02 ebony interior for my 94, and the carpet has those two holes in the rear for the child seat tie down. Anyone know where i can get a set...and also how to install them, i know the gas tank is there, and don't want to screw into that...anyone help me out???

I'd order a trunk deck mat, kinda like a floor mat, but would cover them up, thats what I would do if I was keeping my car.

The 02 has a bracket welded onto that rear deck on each side with a threaded hole for that bolt.

A mat to cover it up is probably your best bet, honestly.

Sidenote...those make a damn convenient place to bolt down an amplifier rack

Not intersted in putting any amps there at all. I want to retain the stock look. And i've looked for deck mats, but can't find any in ebony. If i were to go that rounte i want plain ebony, no picture of anything on them...so far no luck on finding an ebony mat that matches. Thanks.

Well, now I finally know what those hooks are for. My '93 didn't have them and when I bought my '00 SS and saw those things, I thought it was something the dealer had done to cover up the fact that the trunk carpet had been fucked up because there is an extra layer of carpet back there in my SS. I found out later that the first owner had spilled some bleach or battery acid or something back there that ate into the carpet.

Anyway, have you checked SLP for some ebony mats? That's where I got mine last year, but mine have the "CAMARO SS" embroidered on them. Last time I checked, they still had Ebony in stock. And, it matches perfectly.
