WS6s have 17"x9" wheels that say WS6 on the center cap. those wheels you have there are the 16"x8" wheels that came on regular, non-WS6, trans ams. Either the person you bought the car from tricked you, or he put those wheels on the car later. But why would anyone ever switch to the 16x8s?

I used to have the 16x8s but, I went to 18x9.5 and 18x10.5 C6 Vette wheels. Those little "ABS" wheels just werent cuttin it.
And I believe the differences between a WS6 and a Formula are:
1. Regular "sleak-beak" hood. Non-Ram Air
2. Different front end (foglights are toward the outter edge instead of right next to the license plate)
3. Different rear bumper (slightly smaller, does not have big cut-outs for exhaust)
4. Smaller wing (solid spoiler attached along the entire base of it, not as high)
Exterior wise they look exactly the same as a V-6 bird I believe. The wheels may be different, I'm not sure. And as far as actual performance, I think they are exactly the same as a regualr Trans Am. Formulas are also more rare. I am not 100% certain on all of these things, hopefully someone who knows for sure will shed some light on the subject.

I just went and looked and on the door panel it says the original stock tires are only 245's....... This really pisses me off! I just looked at the title and it says 1999 firebird/trans am formula... So where do i stand horsepower wise would you all say? I thought i had 320hp and 345 lb tq since i thought it was a ws6, but since its a formula i guess, then what would it be? And since it does have the ws6 hood wouldnt that put me where a ws6 power is?
Sorry for all the questions, i am just really confused right now

my title/registration for my Trans Am WS6 says formula on it too, it depends on what options are available when the person gets a title for it, my dad just put formula. w/e. check on the drivers side door you will see a little sticker with a bunch of codes such as WS9. it should say that for sure, if its a true WS6, it will say that in the door right next to WS9, which is a Trans Am coupe i beleive. if it doesnt say WS6, you have been suckered and should contact the seller.

Dont take any of what i'm saying the wrong way either, you have a nice car there. looks very clean, but if the person you bought it off of sold it to you as a WS6 and priced it as a WS6, he ripped you off.
