If t-top, remove the t-top, and unscrew the two screws at the top of the pillar. Kinda turn the pillar inward and pull out. Pop the two gauges in the new pillar and re-install. Depending on it's electrical or mechanical gauges is two different installs.

I ground my wires to the tranny hump under the shifter, but if you're having a hard time getting ground you can always tap into any black wire.

I can't remember which power wire I tapped into. It was under the dash, maybe radio or something. Tranny temp sending unit is a simple process if you install it in the service port plug. Oil pressure, remove the casting above the oil filter, tap it and install the sending unit in it.

Best place for power wire is the fuse box.

I think I used the "gauges" fuse in the fuse box for power. Or tap into any pink wire (all pink wires are switch power).

Yea, all you need is a test light to find one that's switched power. Now that I think about it, I belive I used one of those L-shaped fuse block taps that goes into the fuse block, and then it mounts the stock fuse vertical. It's got a wire coming off of it to crimp/solder to.

If you take off the lower driverside kick panel (left foot rest/dead pedal - lower door opening molding) the main ground for the interior is there on a large stud. I just drilled a small hole next to it and grounded there with a new screw. Wasn't hard to drill thru either.
