So I want Red LEDS/Neons inside..
Id like to make it so I have either red LEds or neons inside of the car underneath the dash by the driver's pedals and pass side front legroom. I dont really know how to explain it but I originally thought about getting 2 small red neon tubes and mount it under there (1 for each side), but I did not want to have to plug them in to the battery/cig holder, how would I go about doing this?

Actually yea like that just red, I sort of saw the ricer crap coming but I just dont see how it would be considered that, its not like I have crazy AZN lights and super ugly spoilers on my car.

You don't want neon or LEDs, you want cold cathode lighting. You'll get more even light with more efficiency and less heat. I know of a guy who sells them at a good price (he specializes in Scions but I believe he can make a kit for any car). I've purchased products from him in the past and have always been happy. PM me if you want the link.

for anything with cig lighter attachments, you'll have to cut it off and splice the wires, then connect the power wire to the appropriate wire for the interior lights/gauges.

I have been looking into red cold cathodes too since verts do not have foot well lighting.
I would also imagine the wiring is there for you guys that already have lighting you can use that, I am wondering if the verts have this pre-run too just not plugged into anything? You can get two 12" real cheap on ebay but I cant tell if its two individual tubes or one dual tube setup...guess I will have to order one to see. I would also like to have a red led in our center cup holder to light it up @ night, mine is pitch black @ night.

^^^Dude none of our cars come with foot well lighting. I've seen those cold cathode lighting kits on ebay aswell. They're for PC cases and come with a couple of tubes a power inverter and an on off switch. They're pretty cheap too. Might be the way to go.

I'd like an answer myself on how to hook some up because I have two red LED tubes sitting back at home that I wanted to place to light up the floors of the car with. I was hoping to have matching map/dome lights but I'll have to wait until I'm back to know whether they arrived or not.

The thought of this seems ricey, but actually seeing it up there makes it sound like a good idea and I'm kinda interested in doing this now. Maybe I'll keep an eye out for some cheap neon/LED kinda lights around here.
Thank you!
Thank you!

i had these on my 01 monte, they look sweet, and not rice at all, GTO comes factory with green leds under the dash, im thinking about red for my 01 ss camaro. smokin, u can do a white neon, it will appear factory because there is no color to it, just regular light.
as to what wire to tap into for it to go on when the door opens, im not sure, but i had mine tapped into my turning signals, so when the power to the turning signals came on, the neons did. so they came on when accessories or engine was running and they went off when the car was off, NOT only when the blinkers were on, although that would be funny, lol
