Default Do they make a shift "boot" like this?

I think it would be neat to have something Ferrari-ish like this.

ive always thought so too.. but i think that it might be a little complicated. the other thing is when your engine and trans roll and shake it wouldnt be very tight.

i've driven a ferrari 355 with a shift boot like that and it absolutely sucks. very complicated, makes it easy to miss shifts, makes lots of noise, and sucks.

Iv actually tried to make one for a customer before. The shift pattern on a t56 wth a nice shifter is actually so close that the paths overlap. IE you would just have to cut out a rectangle, you couldnt have those little "fingers" in between. You could make it look cool though.

If you made it correctly the shifter would never touch the shifter gate, It should be fine.

There is a member on this board who has made these before. They came out pretty nice. I'm sure he will chime in here soon. They have been made though, so it can be done.

My friend has one in his Corvette that is like that to a degree. I'll see if I can get a picture from him. He did mention though that because of the shift pattern it could never have the "fingers" like that one does.

yes because of the shift pattern.

And if you are wanting to shift quick they suck. If you drive like your grandma and shift all slow and ***** like then yes it makes it nice and easy.
