Default The Spoiler from the Abyss

Removed the spoiler today to troubleshoot a hatch leak problem I started having. Wow is there some ugly funk living under there!

The under side of the spoiler was 2x worse but I didn't take a pic.

Yeah I put some clear silicone around the bolt holes hoping to make a difference. Now I'm just hoping it doesn't rain for 24 hours...

I know its a little late now but would O-rings that fit around the bolt but also big enought so it doesnt go down the hole work better? It would squish then create a seal and wont make a mess. also you wouldnt have had to wait 24 hours for it to dry.

94TA it already had some rubber washers (factory?) but either they werent doing the trick or I'm chasing the wrong problem. Only way to find out is through trial and error.

Oh yeah I took the time to wash the spoiler mounts and the rear of the hatch that the spoiler usually covers since it's hard to get to with it installed. Then I clayed it, washed it again, polished it and waxed it. Looks much better and I shouldn't have to do it again for another couple years.
