Thats freakin sweet!! Mine is a hardtop but there is no way I would have the ***** to cut my roof. How much did all the pieces cost and what pieces did you have to get to do this? Do you think a body shop would be willing to try it?

Came out great BTW. Damn nice job and sweet ride!!

Thanx guys!
in total it cost me about 600 bux Yeah it is quite alot for what it is but i had the money and always wanted to do it. 350 in parts I bought off a member On here who wrecked his Trans am and 250 to Rick the guy in the pic above. He had already done it to his Camaro.
And yes as expected there are leaks but only when i took it through the power wash. Ill be hand washing like usual to avoid that.
I hear that body shops refuse to attemp something so envasive, but it doesnt hurt to ask.

Awesome job, never thought I'd see this done. Wasn't even aware people ever attempted it.

I did it to mine also....Did you put the roof skin on from the other car or just cut yours? I cant see your in your pics...I used the roof skin to so I had the factory lip when you take the tops off....only way anyone will know its not factory is by the vin...but once they look at that theyll see it used to be a v6to

alright ill give you props for making it look factory, but... i just cant agree with cutting up the roof. i know hard tops arent necessarily "rare" but more so than t-tops. Ugh i hate to see another hardtop go, but apparently im in the minority.

Right there with ya, that is why we bought the 98 so we could have both.
