New paint job almost done! (pics)
I went to vist the car today. She's almost done! He said He still has some sanding and adjusting to do but I should have it back by the middle of next week. The color turned out to be kindda coustom, I gave him the paint code for electron blue but it looks different to me, more purple. I dont care what color it was suposed to be what ever you wanna call the color it is now looks awsome!!! And it looks a different color from every angle. Well here are a few sample pics , once I get it back and cleaned up I will post some good ones. I dont think I can wait till I get the BMR's on.
O yea here's a interesting piece of info i found out, the guy that is paintting my car is the guy that paintted herbie the love bug for the movie back in the 70's!! LOL
let me know what you think , justin http://community.webshots.com/album/86002330ObgIds

Looks great! I agree, it looks a little off from the electron blue, but in a good way. Can't wait to see it finished.
Ah... experience.

Thanks for the comments. I dont like the wheels either ( check sig ) they came on the car. And the biggiest tire i can get on them is a 245. Yea that sux! Im thinking about getting on of these 2 wheels in the next few months. As soon as i can get the money. which do you think would look better?

How much was the paint job and what did he do to make it so smooth?
Is the clear sanded bewteen coats, how many layers of clear, any specific paint etc...
The far away hood shot is stunning, just what I like to see on a GM vechile; nice paint. It's more rare than a flying pig.

I definately see a hint of purple in there. I'd just call it custom because it looks to far off from electron blue. Sweet car either way man.
