Default RevXtreme billet Pulleys/Jaam Ram Air/Speed Inc Fuel Rails

Haven't had much time to do much of anything with the car till here lately. Still got a few things to do. But, for the most part, I got most of everything. Check out the pics. Love the mods.

The bolt kit is from Specialized Stainless. The covers are ebay items. The coil covers are not from a sponsor of ls1tech.com. I think it is illegal to state who the vendor is. Therefore, only a guess. The vendor rhymes with pegs. However, the name does not start with "p".

I like the hood latch cover! Very clean set-up. Also partial to the Battery and fusebox covers.

I bet!

The pulleys look great...I am doing pulleys on mine now (chrome water pump pulley, chrome idler pulley, synister billet altenator pulley and chromed Turn One PS pulley...all ready have the chrome tensioner). Did you have to take the altenator off to change the pulley or did you do it with it on the car? If on the car how did you keep the pulley from turning to take the nut off...was the belt enough?

I tried everything I could to do it on the car. There is no way to do it. When you take the alternator off, you will need to remove it from the brackets prior to getting down from inside the car. You first take it loose from the brackets, remove brackets from inside the engine compartment and then take the alternator out. You will have to manipulate the parts out slowly. There is no room to do much of anything to get this alternator out. I suggest getting someone to go with you to help out. Of course there is no room for more than yourself. You just need the extra person for moral support. I then used an impact wrench to remove the nut from the alternator.

Did you take it out from the top or the bottom?

I will have the water pump and power steering pump off (getting that bracket chromed) so it may come out easier from the top with those pieces out of the way. I figured I would use an impact too if I had to take the whole thing off....did it spin it fast enough to take off without having to hold the pulley?

With the water pump and power steering pump off, it should be a breeze. A whole lot easier than take'n it out through the bottom like I did.

Never had to hold the pulley when using the impact wrench. It came off with the first touch of the impact!

Yeap, the impact is the only way I have ever removed a pulley from the alternator.
