Vehicle stability...
Will a stock 02z be able to handle a ss3600 stall and heads/cam with 3.73 with stock suspension and rear end... just wondering if i purchased the heads and cam with the vert if i would need to replace everything in the rearend and suspension soon later... thanks

you will definitely be fine!! but i would seriously consider beefing up the tranny though. some of these trannies dont last long once u throw a cam in there. some people have been lucky and made it last. i did a cam on stock heads then had the cash to beef up my tranny.
now im saving up for the heads!!

I'd actually be more worried about killing the stock 10 bolt than the 4L60E - these autos are pretty strong from what I've seen. To be perfectly honest I would go more into the suspension and drivetrain before the heads and cam but to each his own.

I would get the HD-2 kit installed by someone who is thoroughly familiar with it and the 4L60e. Suspension I would start with some good shocks and 1LE type bushings in your LCA's.
One of the best investments you can make is EFILive or HPTuners so you can tune your shift points, shift time, lock up, etc. And then if you go H/C, you'll have a lot of tuning to do.

You shouldn't definetly say yes your 4l60e is fine. It depends alot on if it has been maintained and is in good working order. I have been thru two 60's in less than three years in my vert with only full exhaust and a airlid. So that is not a good statement to go on. But the shift kit will definetly help it out.

A new rearend cover with the bearing cap supports would help "a little". You could also box your stock LCAs to go with the poly bushings, and maybe add an airbag to the passenger side rear spring.

i hear the 10 bolt on an A4 should hold up a bit better than the M6 guys. if i was you seriously, i would consider doing the stall and beefed up tranny over the cam. u dont wanna blow cash on getting a cam + install + tuning for your tranny to crap out right after. build the tranny with one of our bad *** sponsors that way u never have to worry bout it.
u should have seen how paranoid i was with my tranny once i cammed it..
