P1870 Code Fix?
My Torque converter isn't locking up and P1870 is (was) showing up. For reasons I still don't understand, it was causing a P0102 Mass Air low voltage code

.I took it to a shop for Diagnostics, the PCM was reset both codes are currently gone(no SES light yet) but the TCC still isn't engaging. I was thinking about putting a Trans Go shift kit in for firmer shifts anyway and heard it could fix the problem...anyone?

Ok...I had a Transgo hd2 kit installed and still no LOCKUP!
The trans jumps into 2nd a little quicker and firmer and I can hold each gear without shifting into the next if I shift manually(I don't remember being able to do that before) but that's all I notice.
My mechanic said the last two options are a new tcc solenoid or the torque converter itself. Trying the new solenoid first and hope it works, if not it looks like I'll be driving with more rpms on the highway and a SES light until I can swap a 6spd in.

Sorry to hear you still have the issue, I probably would have swapped the TCC solenoid while I was in there just to be on the safe side, Beyond it you are indeed looking at either the TCC valve is stuck in pump, The o ring on the input shaft is damaged or missing and or the converter itself.
