Replacing my transmission, question about converter.
Just bought a yank that killed my trans, the fluid has a nice dark tint to it. When I remove my trans and the converter do i need to empty and refill the converter or just check the fluid level and install it on the new trans?
Thank you guys.

You say your stall killed your trans? Do you not have a cooler installed with it? Just curious.
Flushing everything is the best idea, although I dont know if the stall can be effectivly flushed without sending it in for a cut and clean. IMHO, its not worth the risk of replacing your NEW trans just because the stall may not be clean. When i did mine, i just ordered a new stall with it, since i needed it ASAP.

cut & clean by a reputable verter shop is your only option to get it super duper clean so it does not take out your new trans.........
